Madhur was sceptical and hadn't expected to achieve lasting results. He was pleasantly proven wrong, by how easily he can keep up with it.
Madhur felt he was getting older. He had back pain, low energy and his body was urging him to make a change.
At the same time he didn't believe he could make a lasting change. Or at least that it would take a lot of effort.
With that sceptical mindset he came to me. I explained him what the approach would be and asked him how much of that he thought we would be able to do. "Not much" was the response, so that's where we started. Soon he discovered it was actually way easier than he thought, and the results came faster than he had thought possible.
Strength training 3x/week
A strategy for his nutrition based on his needs.
Light activity throughout the day
No formal cardio
After the first two weeks, Madhur wanted to do more and more, and I even needed to slow him down, because it would be counterproductive otherwise.
Where he was sceptical at first, he now followed my advice to the letter, and we saw that in the results.
In just four months he lost 20kg and no longer had any back pain. By now he was sold, and after a well deserved holiday, we continued our journey for a six pack. In less than seven months he went from overweight, back pain, and low energy to a sick pack, more energy, and never quitting exercise again.
