Ilyas is sometimes still surprised when he looks in the mirror. He lost 20kg, can do a front flip now, and does things he was afraid to do before.
Before Ilyas came to me, he rarely left the house, and he didn't really think about his health. He thought everything was fine, and he always found an excuse not to do more.
Then he had an health check at the office and he found out he was not as in shape as he thought.
Even though now he knew what the problem was, he didn't know what to do about it. That's when he came to me.
Strength training 3x/week
A strategy for his nutrition based on his needs.
Light activity throughout the day
No formal cardio
We made fitness a priority. That didn't mean we never strayed from the plan, but it did mean we build the plan around his life. Also when things changed.
That lead to results despite Christmas, family visits or Ramadan.
Half a year later: 20kg down. Where he struggled with free weights, he now does more than double the weight by himself.
But the best part for him? He did a front flip, in his first attempt. It was something he had always been afraid to do, but on his first attempt he already stuck the landing.
This is what happens when training fits who you are and what your life looks like. The results in the gym are the start. The confidence you get from that, is the real result.
